Serbian mezzo soprano Sanja Anastasia studied at the University of Music and performing Arts in Graz and Vienna, Austria. She was the prize winner at several international singing competitions such as Jeunesse Musicales in Belgrad, Enrico Caruso in Milano, Vincenzo Bellini, Caltanisetta, Italiy, Schloß Rheinsberg, Germany. 2005 Sanja received her master degrees and became freelance artist. She continued her study with Prof.Dr.Theodore Coresi and Mrs.Brenda Roberts.

From 2011-2013 Sanja Anastasia was member of State Theater Mainz where she was sung LUCRETIA The Rape of Lucretia, ULRICA Un Ballo in Maschera, MESCALINA Le Grand Macabre, KLYTÄMNESTRA Elektra, ELECRTESS The Prinz of Homburg (CD recording and live radio broadcast) and OLGA Eugen Onegin.

Notable past engagements have included ULRICA on Theater Basel, Bern and Magdeburg, FENENA in Nabucco (with Placido Domingo), FLORA in La Traviata, GERTRUDE in Romeo and Juliette, AMNERIS, ULRICA and CARMEN in Arena di Verona, JUDITH in Bluebard’s Castel (german version) and SORCERESS in Dido and Aeneas on Theater Bremerhaven, LARINA in Eugen Onegin on State Theater Saarbrücken as well as AMNERIS at Openair Festival Gars am Kamp, Austria and La Perla Festival, Pfäffikon, Switzerland, CARMEN at Aspendos Openair Festival.

Her last successfully production of AIDA of Theater Coccia in Novara 2016 was recorded for Classica TV Italia.

Other guest appearances were with Volksopera Vienna, Cape Town Opera, Brašov Opera, Košice Opera, National Theater Sarajevo, National Theater Maribor, Theater Aachen, Theater Erfurt, National Theater Belgrade, State Theater Karlsruhe, Bremen, Mainz, Theater Magdeburg, Lübeck, Würzburg, Landestheater Innsbruck, Theater in Pisa, Livorno, Rovigo, Como, Novara, Theaters of Catalania, State Theater Prag in Salzburg, on tour in Japan with Vienna Opera Ensemble, performances in Seoul Arts Center and Busan, South Korea.

On the concert platform Sanja had worked with Belgrade Philharmony and Radio Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmony and Radio Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmony, Brandenburg Philharmony, Moscow Philharmony, Cape Town Philharmony and Orchestra Fondazione Arena di Verona.

She sung Verdi’s Requiem with Symphony Orchestra of Theater Würzburg and on Theater Wielki in Lodz, Polen and also gave concerts with Verona Lirica at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Italy.

Her curent engagements are ULRICA in Ballo in Maschera on Landestheater Innsbruck, AMNERIS in Aida in Tbilisi, Georgia, LA PRINCIPESSA in Adriana Lecouvreuer on Theater Karlsruhe, Germany and title role in CARMEN on National Theater Sarajevo and in Bulgaria.
